SlideFix: Photo Puzzle

This Privacy Policy describes how SlideFix: Photo Puzzle ("we", "us", "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

        Summary: SlideFix is a puzzle game that stores almost all data locally on your device. We do not require account creation, do not serve ads, do not use behavioral analytics, and do not sell your data.
    

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

Player Name: A display name you choose (default: "Player"). This is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
Avatar Selection: An avatar you pick from a set of preset options. This is shown publicly on the leaderboard.
Custom Puzzle Images: Photos you take or select from your gallery to create custom puzzles. These are processed and stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to any server.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Device Identifier: A random unique ID (UUID) is generated on first launch for leaderboard identification. This is not linked to your real identity or device hardware.
Game Progress: Scores, stars earned, completion times, puzzles solved, coins, and achievements — all stored locally on your device.
App Settings: Your preferences for sound, music, haptic feedback, and grid lines — stored locally.
Crash Data: If the App crashes, diagnostic information (device model, OS version, stack trace) is sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs.

C. Information We Do NOT Collect

Real name, email address, phone number, or physical address
Location data
Contacts or call logs
Advertising identifiers
Browsing history or usage analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage

The majority of your data is stored locally on your device using Android's private app storage. This data is accessible only to the App and is protected by the Android operating system's sandboxing.

Game progress, achievements, coins, daily tasks, and settings
Custom puzzle images and thumbnails
Player profile data

Android backup is disabled for this app (allowBackup=false). Your data is not backed up to Google Play or any cloud service.

Cloud Storage

Leaderboard data (player name, avatar, score, puzzles completed, stars earned) is stored in Google Firebase Firestore. This data is visible to other players on the leaderboard.

Security Measures

All network communication uses HTTPS encryption (cleartext traffic is disabled).
Local data is stored in Android's private app-specific directory.
Custom images are stored in a private directory inaccessible to other apps.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

5. Permissions

The App requests the following Android permissions:

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Your data is shared only in the following limited ways:

We process data only for legitimate purposes necessary to operate the App and improve stability.

Leaderboard: Your chosen player name, avatar, and game scores are visible to all users on the public leaderboard.
Firebase/Google: Leaderboard data and crash diagnostics are processed by Google's Firebase service.

7. Data Retention

Local data: Retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data.
Leaderboard data: Retained in Firebase Firestore indefinitely. You may request deletion by contacting us.
Crash reports: Retained according to Firebase Crashlytics' default retention policy (90 days).

8. Data Deletion

You can delete your local data at any time by:

Uninstalling the App, or
Clearing the App's data in your device Settings

To request deletion of your leaderboard data from our servers, please contact us at the email address below.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is designed as a general-audience puzzle game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The only user-provided data is a display name and avatar choice. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
